Agios Onoufrios is an idyllic seaside village situated 8km north of the city of Chania and close to the village of Kounoupidiana. It is renowned for its St. Onoufrios chapel, which is situated right next to the beach and celebrates its annual festival on June 12th.
The tranquil bay of Agios Onoufrios is a sandy beach that provides a peaceful atmosphere for locals and visitors alike. Although not particularly well-organized, its picturesque landscape, including traditional taverns and a calming sea, make it an attractive destination. The only thing that disrupts the serenity is the fuel tanks located northwest of the beach.
