Nestled in the stunning Kissamos Bay, Nopigia is a seaside village located just 6km east of Kissamos and 30km west of Chania city. Here, visitors can enjoy a long sandy beach with shallow, clear waters, as well as umbrellas, showers, and restaurants. Continuing east, the beach becomes rockier and more secluded, offering several pebbly and rocky coves. After 2km, travelers can find the church of Panagia and the remote beaches of Choni.
According to tradition, during the return of Agamemnon from Troy, he briefly stopped in Nopigia to make sacrifice to the gods.
