Situated in the province of Malevizi, around 22 kilometres northwest of Heraklion, Parasfougario beach is nestled between the bustling Lygaria and Agia Pelagia coastlines. Accessible only by swimming a distance of 20-25 minutes from either of the beaches, this secluded bay is located on a steep point, with stairs from a nearby house leading down to it. The top of the slope is full of crithmum, while the seabed consists of both pebbles and coarse sand, and a small cave to the east adds to the picturesque scenery. However, as the beach is exposed to north winds, it can be best avoided during windy periods as a lot of debris tends to accumulate in the area.
