If you are seeking an isolated beach experience, Agios Antonios in Kato Selles is the perfect destination. This area is located approximately 30 kilometers northwest of Agios Nikolaos and three kilometers north of Selles. Here, you will find several small pebbly beaches surrounded by rough rocks. Although these beaches are not suitable for swimming due to their stony seabed and the large waves that often crash against the northern Cretan shores, they are ideal for fishing and relaxation if the weather is not windy. Just east of Agios Antonios is the beach of Patsavra which is popular among locals for swimming. West of the village of Kato Selles is the stony beach of Vato Mouri and the rockier beach of Agios Antonios, which features tamarisk trees for shade. Finally, east of the beach is a tiny beach called Lagadaki with crystal clear blue water, which is suitable for swimming when the sea is calm.
