Mirabelo beach

Nestled 2km north of Agios Nikolaos lies the Hotel Mirabello, overlooking two lovely sandy beaches which are known as the Mirabello Bays. The first beach is sheltered by docks and a small marina, while the second is accessible via a short artificial peninsula lined with tamarisk trees. Both beaches are fully equipped to meet the needs of sunbathers, featuring umbrellas, sunbeds, showers and a bar. This area was formerly referred to as ‘Havania’, a name which was given to the second beach due to the practice of locals washing linum (flax) here in the past.
