Situated around 45 kilometers south of Rethymno, Gialopotama is a secluded beach with a rocky terrain that is ideal for snorkeling and spear fishing. Located 4 kilometers south of the village of Kerames, and near the exit of a small valley, this unknown beach is the perfect place for those seeking solitude and naturism. The beach is made up of sandy shores and rocks, and can be approached by car from Kerames, or by a paved track that starts east of Preveli beach and follows the coastline of Drymiskos. In recent years, a few small houses and apartments have been built on the small hill at the beach’s western side, making it even more accessible.
