Louros is a coastal area situated between Agios Georgios (close to Agia Galini) and Agios Pavlos, boasting several small stony beaches that are perfect for snorkeling and spear fishing. As you drive west from Agios Georgios, you will come across Armenopetra beach, named after a single boulder in the sea. A bit further, there is the beach at Agios Markos or Ligiolakos position, opposite the rock known as Prasonisi. Here, the sea is usually calm and it is a great spot for families from Melambes to relax. After Prasonisi, there are a few more beaches that can only be reached on foot. Aniforas or Vigdolidi is particularly hard to get to due to private land blocking the way. However, the imposing rock above the beach makes it a great place for some stunning photos. Lastly, Finikidia beach is 500m east of Agios Pavlos, and is characterized by the Theophrastus date palms (Cretan date palms) that grow along the banks of the stream that exits onto the pebbly shore.
