Rodakino is a village situated 45 km southeast of Rethymno, nestled within the valley of the steep Rodakino canyon, flanked on the west by Plakias and on the east by Fragokastelo. Half a kilometer away from the beach of Korakas, the village’s main beach, one can find the beach of Polirizos, surrounded by lush olive groves. To reach it, one must take the paved road that follows the shoreline from Korakas. After travelling past a small sandhill and some little coves, visitors will find the settlement of Polirizos with its accommodation and taverns. Ahead, one will find a small and beautiful beach with fine sand and tranquil, shallow waters, which makes it perfect for families with young children. This beach is slightly organized, with umbrellas and sunbeds. The road ends here, due to the rocky Kastelos hill, which is situated in the western part of the coast. To the left, 500m after Polirizos, lies the stunningly long bay of Peristeres.
