Travellers searching for seclusion and untouched nature can explore the stunning coastline between Ravdoucha and Nopigia. Along the road, they will discover numerous secluded coves with small beaches of pebbles and rocky bottom. In the area, there is also the restored chapel of Saint Basil, located on a beach with large pebbles and remarkable rocky formations. At the end of the peninsula, remnants of an iron ore mine from the early 20th century can be seen, as well as the deserted settlement of the miners. Skotini beach, with its tiny pebbles, is one of the most beautiful secret beaches in West Crete and is accessible from the Ravdoucha area by walking.
