Just 5 kilometers west of Chania, the city-front of Kato Daratsos village and close to Makris Tihos, lies Glaros beach. This beautiful beach is bordered by Kalamaki to the west and Agii Apostoli to the east, with a thin strip of land separating the two. With its fine sand and plenty of tamarisk trees for shade, Glaros beach is a popular choice for sun-seekers. The strong north winds can make it wavy, however visitors can simply move to the nearby Agii Apostoli bays for protection.
