Ammoudaron beach

Located 8km west of Ierapetra and 45km south of Agios Nikolaos, Ammoudaron and Kalamaki are two secluded and peaceful beaches. Ammoudaron  or Ammoudares beachfront consists of long beaches with coarse gray sand, while Kalamaki is a nice sandy beach surrounded by high cliffs. These two beaches are not popular due to their location, which is surrounded by greenhouses, so swimming in the area is not recommended due to the potential presence of pesticides. To get to these beaches, you must take the main road heading west from Ierapetra. If you’re looking for a place to relax without any disturbance, Ammoudares and Kalamaki may be the perfect spot for you.
