Situated in the west of Chania and 1.5km north of Kissamos, the beach of Damialis (or Ntamiali) is a small cove with clean, deep water surrounded by impressive rocks and small pebbles, providing protection from gusts of wind. Visitors can find shade beneath the tamarisk trees growing along the shore. Additionally, the beach features a springboard on the rocks. It is accessible from the main road connecting Kissamos and Falassarna.
The beach is named after the church of St. John Damialis, which is set within a cave above the beach. To reach the shore, visitors can take a short path that passes through a small tunnel and crosses the road.
Around 200m south of Damialis, you can find the 3-4 small coves of Delfini (i.e. Dolphin), named after a nearby hotel. These beaches are extremely peaceful, although streams sometimes bring rubbish onto the shore.
