Gylisma (or Kambos) stony beach is a popular spot located 69 kilometers southwest of Chania city and 29 kilometers south of Kissamos. It is close to the Kambos village and is also known as Afratolaki. This beach is not suitable for swimming due to its coarse pebbles and high waves on windy days, so it is mainly favoured by the locals on calmer days.
If you’re looking for a more secluded spot, Afratolakki might be the place for you. There is a lack of facilities here, such as umbrellas and sunbeds, as well as limited options for accommodation and food. However, the rocky seabed makes it a great place for snorkeling. To get to the beach, you have to drive 4.5 kilometers on a dirt track from Kambos village.
