Telonio Beach lies east of the main pedestrian pathway in Kissamos and stretches as far as the stadium, approximately 1 kilometer away. In fact, this beach is the westernmost section of the lengthy coastline that begins in Kissamos and ends in Nopigia, many kilometers to the east. Situated close to the most developed part of Kissamos, where the former Customs Office once stood and the current pedestrian seaside road containing numerous taverns and cafes, Telonio is a pleasant mix of sand and pebbles, with usually wavy waters and shallow depths. Despite its proximity to the town, Telonio tends to remain unorganized. It used to be the most popular spot in the area many years ago, but today Mavlos Molos takes the lead in terms of its popularity. If you’re looking for an escape from crowded beaches, yet would like to benefit from the amenities available in the vicinity, Telonio is the ideal destination.
