Trahili beaches

For those seeking a tranquil swimming spot, Gaidaros beach (Donkey beach) in Papadiokambos is the perfect alternative. Located on the east side of the Trahili peninsula, the short cape blocks the waves to create a calm and azure sea. At first glance, the shore may appear to be rocky, but a dirt road (see map) leads to the small but humble Gaidaros beach. This is the only natural beach for miles between Kalavros and Sitia town that is almost always still and inviting.
