Skaria beach

For those seeking a tranquil and secluded experience, a drive east of the main beach of Hiona will provide access to several small coves. Bondalaki, the first sandy beach, is arguably the most beautiful of the bunch. A bad dirt track continues east along the coastline towards cape Plaka, where one can find several coves with pebbles, with a wild and picturesque landscape of gorges and mountains in the background. The easternmost beach of Crete is Skaria, a spot which is highly affected by the sea currents and is often littered with rubbish. Pilos, the previous beach, is formed in clay ground and is the perfect place for solace.
